Leslie Helpert, based in Europe but originally from United States, is a composing guitarist and singer who has released 6 albums of her own music with artists from all over the world. She studied at The Berklee College of Music and The Naropa University. She is on the Barcelona-based music label “Whatabout Music” and has played all over Europe, Canada, The U.S. and Caribbean.
In 2008 she was elected as the country of Bermuda’s premier Composer-in-Residence and endorsed by the Ministry of Culture to write and perform. She is in the middle of finishing a dance album in Montreal, Canada and in the meanwhile living in Barcelona for the season performing and teaching.
She is very passionate about yoga and is also a novelist and painter. She will be playing at Cosmo on the guitar and voice, accompanied by two Argentinean musicians on violin and classical guitar.
